What is a Certificate of Compliance?

It is an official document issued by a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE). It certifies that the design and installation of key engineering systems in a Day Procedure Centre—specifically electrical, specialized ventilation, dental air compressor vaccum and suction, and medical gas pipeline systems—fully comply with the statutory safety standards set out in the Code of Practice for Day Procedure Centres and Code of Practice for Clinic.

Why is a Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) Required?

Statutory Requirement: It is a mandatory legal requirement under the Code of Practice.
Professional Expertise: Only RPEs possess the legal qualifications and professional expertise to assess, inspect, and verify that these complex medical engineering systems are safe and compliant.
